For the past nine years I have made and sold jewelry to a devoted, local clientele who like pretty little things.
In making my jewelry I use earthy and exotic stones and gems, sparkly vintage glass and crystal, and hand-formed and textured fine silver. I make jewelry that I like to wear; comfortable and lightweight, simple and elegant.
Check out my jewelry gallery here.
I also provide art workshops in my Portland, Oregon art studio for people who enjoy art making in a cozy, collaborative format. The art classes I teach bring people together for a supportive and open-ended exploration of jewelry–making techniques, collage, and the exciting process of making prints, a process that feels very related to making richly textured jewelry.
“I love Jo Brody’s jewelry! I wear Jo’s jewelry all the time and get amazing compliments. I always buy earrings for all my girlfriends at Jo’s holiday sale, but then somehow never seem to be able to part with them. The quality and craftsmanship is like none other. The designs are fun and creative and the details are tastefully done. Jo is my all time favorite jewelry designer.”
“I am not kidding when I say that I could have walked out of Jo’s show with 6 necklaces and about 20 pairs of earrings. Looking at her pieces was like going to Papa Haydn’s and eating some luxurious dessert–the textures and variety were endlessly compelling. Jo is very talented. “
